Wedding season is here at last. And if you have a couple of friends who are going to tie the knot, most likely you would be seeing almost the same guests on each wedding. And that would mean it may will be a bit hard to recycle your outfit.
And with that, fashion Blogger Ruth Emmerson give a couple of tips on how to fashionable this season.
Points to consider:
A wedding outfit doesn’t necessarily mean a dress; a jumpsuit is the perfect alternative especially for those who want to cover up a little more.
Think about the day itself. Weddings involve a lot of sitting, standing, posing and dancing so make sure you have an outfit which allows you to do all of these things without feeling restricted or showing too much!
Avoid fabrics that crease easily such as linen – it will do you no favours after sitting for a long wedding breakfast.
Don’t wear white. If it’s not your day avoid it, or face evil glances from the bride, your call.
Men clean your shoes! You would be amazed how much a good polish can do and also make friends with the iron; a clean and crisp shirt is a must.
If you aren’t comfortable spending the day in high heels opt for a wedge instead as you will get more support, or if flats are the only way opt for a pretty embellished pair (Primark have some great choices).
If the weather permits, go for a pashmina instead of a jacket for your cover up; it’s light weight and easier to carry around with
you on the day.
Personally I think hats are to be avoided. Once it’s on taking it off will result in hat hair – not a good look. Instead go for a fascinator or hair clip.
The bag – a clutch is ideal to glam up your outfit even more.
Pregnant? Empire lines are very flattering as they drape over your bump.
Bigger busted? Avoid high neck lines, a slight ‘V’ will help to break up your top half.
Have an enviable waist? Show it off and create the perfect hour glass shape with a dress that synch you in at the waist. The gorgeous pink lace number from Phase Eight shown above is ideal.
