The Church of England have announced that they are to offer a special service to couples visiting the major wedding exhibitions this year.
Couples attending the National Wedding Show in London or Birmingham and UK Wedding Shows in Newcastle and London will be offered a special prayer postcard they can complete with their wedding details.
The Church guarantees that a designated priest will pray for the couple a week before the big day.
CoE spokeswoman The Rev Rosie Harper said: “If couples tell us what they’re worried about, we’ll remember them in our prayers in the run-up to their wedding. It demonstrates how we’re not just there for the big day, we’re there for them beforehand, and for their life together afterwards.”
The Church of England will have a stand at both events.
The UK Wedding Show takes place in Newcastle on January 30/31, and London on February 6/7.
The National Wedding Show will be in London from February 19 to 21, and Birmingham from March 5 to 7
