Hen Weekends in Barcelona

a sunny vista of BarcelonaBarcelona is an extremely popular European destination because the city sits practically on the beach. You can spend all day soaking up the hot Spanish sun on the miles of golden sands, and then head out for a great night on the town.

But, you won’t just want to spend your days on the beach. There is just so much to do and see in Barcelona, you’ll have a hard time fitting it all in to a weekend or short break.

The great thing about Barcelona is that it’s a lot closer than you’d think. If you’re flying from a London Airport then you’re under 2 hours away, and only a little further is you’re flying from other UK airports. But, just think, after just a few short hours on a plane, you and your gang could be having so much fun in the sun!

Restaurants, Bars and Clubs

sampling the Barcelona nightlife and enjoying a drink or twoThere are plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs to choose from, which makes this a popular destination for overseas hen parties. The bars and clubs in Barcelona stay open a lot later than they do in the UK. Most places will close around 3am or later – even on a week night! So, brace yourself for some late nights.

The night life has a very laid back and relaxed feel, but beware the Spanish are very generous with their alcohol measures and you could find yourself tipsy after just one or two drinks!

If however shopping is your thing, then you need to take a trip to El Triangle, and take some time sampling the shops along Les Rambles and those in and around the Olympic village.

Both spots are firm favourites with the locals and tourists alike, and you’re sure to enjoy the cosmopolitan hustle and bustle of both areas, as well as the many restaurants and bars.

FAÇANA DE LA PASSIÓIf sight seeing is more your thing, then you and the gang have to take a trip to the Le Sagrada Familia. Guadi’s impressive church will simply take your breath away.

You must take a trip to the top of one of these huge towers and take a look at the beautiful city from up on high. But, if heights are not your thing, be sure to give this a miss.

If you’re like Le Sagrada Familia then you’re sure to love Gaudi Park. This is the perfect place to take in some of Barcelona’s unique architecture, whilst you relax and soak up the sun.

You’re certain to never have a dull moment in Barcelona, as there is just so much for you and your gang to experience and explore. So what are you waiting for?
